My Encounters
Kurt Angle, December 1, 2001

Here's my pictures of my autograph session with Kurt Angle, in Taylor, MI on December 1, 2001.  This was a free autograph to promote his book It's True, It's True.

I got there about 1 hour before the autograph session started. I went there with my friend's son Drake.

When we got into the store, there was a girl at the entrance asking us if we had a book or we needed to buy a book because that was the only thing that Kurt was signing. I showed her my book and she put a sticker on it. Then, we got in line.

The line was huge and I was scared that we would wait forever to not be able to meet him, and Drake would be disappointed.

The autograph session was scheduled from 1-3 pm. At1 2:45 pm, they announced that Kurt arrived and started to sign autographs right away. I was pretty happy about it, because that means that I had a good chance to meet him.

Then, a girl was walking next to the line with a pen and sticky note. She came to me and asked me y name, so Kurt could sign my book and personalize it. We waited about 30 minutes and it was our turn.

Drake was getting so excited.... and Kurt looked good. When it was our turned, I introduced Drake to Kurt. Drake had Kurt's wrestling doll and his hand. When Kurt was going to shake Drake's and, Kurt asked Drake if it was a doll of him. Drake answered yes and Kurt asked him if he wanted for him to autograph it. Drake gave his doll to Kurt and he signed it. Drake was really happy because he knew that Kurt was there to sign only books.

There was a girl who was taking people's camera and pictures for us. I got a picture of us facing Kurt and he's signing Drake's doll. After, he signed my book and I told him that I was a member of his official fan club and also that I had met him earlier this year in Rochester Hill. He looked at me and said that it was cool. He shook my hand twice and then, we had to leave.

Kurt is always nice to everybody, especially kids. He will do more than he's suppose to. After two meeting with him, he showed again that he was a gentleman and that he cared for his fan.
