I got the great chance to meet Lita, at a free autograph session in Dearborn, MI, at a Super KMart. So my friend Missy and I decided to bring her friend's son Drake to meet her. We got there about 2 hours before she was suppose to arrive to the place. The line was already long, people were waiting since 6:00 am that morning and the autograph session was taking place at 1:00 pm. So, we took our place at the end of the line, which didn't take too long before it wasn't the end of the line anymore.
At 1:00 pm, there was no sign of Lita, so people started to be impatient. Then, they added security and there she was walking by us to get to the table where she was going to spend the next 3 hours signing autographs.
The store was selling all kinds or different stuff with Lita on it, like Wrestling figures, posters, magazines and her video tapes. I, brought a montage of all my Lita pictures that I took since she started in the WWE and that I took at my live events. In case that she was interested, I made her a copy of my collage.
Then, it was almost time for our turn to meet Lita. The security asked us what we had to sign, as the rule was only one article per person. Also, he told us that we couldn't ask her to pose for a picture. If we wanted to take pictures of Lita, we had to shoot when she was signing, that she would look up for pictures.
When it was our time, I started taking one picture and then wait to take more after. Then, I showed her my collage and as I thought, she was really interested to look at each of the pictures. Then, I told her that I made her a copy and gave it to her. She thanked me for the collage and then, signed it. Then, out of the blue, I asked her to pose for a picture and she agreed with a big smile. Then, I took a couple more pictures and left...
All I have to say is that Lita rocks and she's one of the sweetest person that I met...
